Dear Member:
As Scholarship Chairman of the Saginaw Valley Chapter of the American
Foundry Society, I am pleased to announce that we
will be awarding scholarships applicable to the
school term beginning in the fall of 2007.
The Scholarships will range between $500 and
$1500 depending on fund availability.
The following criteria will be used to determine eligibility:

The
applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree,
must have a minimum of 1 semester of college courses
and be enrolled in Engineering, Manufacturing or
Foundry related curriculum.
High School and College transcripts of up to
and including the most recently completed semester
must be
submitted with an application.

A
minimum 2.5 gpa or equivalent is required to be
eligible for an award.
·
The
application must be received by me no later than
January 7, 2008
·
The
applicant must be an active member or a son or
daughter of an active or deceased AFS member of the
Saginaw Valley Chapter.
·
NEW for 2007 - The applicant
must
register with the FEF
http://www.fefinc.org/ to be eligible for a
Scholarship.
The scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants based on their
career goals, academics, written communication
skills.
