Dear AFS Member:
As
Scholarship Chairman of the Saginaw Valley Chapter of the American
Foundry Society, I am pleased to announce that we will be awarding
scholarships applicable to the school term beginning in the fall of
2022. The number of
Scholarships will depend on funding availability.
The
following criteria will be used to determine eligibility:
The
applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree, must have a
minimum of 1 semester of college courses and be enrolled in
Engineering, Manufacturing, Administration, or Foundry related
curriculum. High School
and College transcripts of up to and including the most recently
completed semester must be submitted with an application.
A
minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent is required, and minimum of
12 credit hours to be
eligible for a scholarship award.
Applications with supporting documents sent no later than January 13th,
2023.
The
applicant must either have a parent or be an active member for 1
year to be eligible of the Saginaw Valley Chapter.
Again for 2022/2023 - The applicant must register and be current with the
FEF
http://www.fefinc.org/ to be eligible for a Saginaw
Valley Scholarship.
The
scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants based on their
career goals, academics, and written communication skills.
